CeliaSue Hecht moved from
Los Angeles to Las Vegas, Nevada and established her writing and public
relations service in 1992. She relocated to Carson City, Nevada in 1998 and to
Northern California in 2002. She has an extensive background in the areas of
writing (reporting and editing), publicity, and teaching/speaking. She worked
in the seminar leadership training area for over five years and held management
positions in the seminar industry internationally for EarthPlay International
and Sequoia Vision. She also held public relations management positions for
Main Gorman, CPA’s and a credit consulting agency. She held positions as a
Newspaper Reporter and Editor for several newspapers in Florida and Nevada.
Hecht is co-author of five romantic travel guides and has traveled around the
world giving talks at religious organizations, business meetings and seminars
and workshops in hotel venues.
She holds a B.A. in
Communications/Education from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida.
She is the is the winner
of a Silver Pen Award from the Reno Gazette Journal and her work has been
featured in more than 40 publications (top 100 newspapers and national
magazines) from Entrepreneur to USA Today.
She has also made numerous presentations on writing and

CeliaSue Hecht has been a professional journalist for more than two decades. She initially worked for sister publications in south Florida as a typesetter, reporter and copy editor covering community events, movies, theatre and high profile movers and shakers. She also worked freelance for numerous local papers including the Boca Raton Daily News covering health and lifestyle stories. She moved on to work as a Newspaper Editor in Las Vegas, where she doubled the size of the newspaper in six month by adding sections to bring in new advertisers. In 29 Palms, California, she interviewed the Mayor, artists and other local luminaries, covered City Council meetings, and wrote stories about real estate discrimination and Marine base controversies.
She continues to work as a freelance features reporter who specializes in magazine length profiles focusing on travel, best-selling authors, doctors and health care professionals and small business owners. She is the Staff Travel Writer for Salem-News (with half a million readers a month). And, she writes a popular dog travel blog with more than 60,000 views, featuring pet friendly lodging in California, Nevada and Oregon.
